Below is a telephone conversation that Doug and I just had during his lunch hour:
Doug: “Did you try the new peaches in the fridge yet?”
Me: “No, why?”
Doug: “Dole changed their peaches now where it’s supposed to be like real fruit juice or something and when I tasted it, it was disgusting!! I almost wanted to call them and tell them how horrible it was!
Me: “That sucks”.
Doug: “Yeah…first Apple Jacks screws me over by putting fiber into their cereal telling me that it’s still going to taste the same and then when I tried it I was like “this is bs! It doesn’t taste the same! I swear I should write them a letter and tell them that I’ve been eating Apple Jacks for many years now and….
Me: *laughing* “Yeah honey, I’m sure the executives were sitting in their offices saying “Yeah that Doug Lerit, we’re going to screw him over by putting fiber into the cereal!!”
Doug: “Exactly! Maybe I should just try to find Apple Jacks in another country or something where they are less health conscious. Maybe they will have the original Apple Jacks…”
LOL…sigh…I love my husband…he says the darndest things sometimes :-)
Of course…I couldn’t post this without a recent picture of my Doug so here you go (he is the one in the far right rocking the “GTL” shirt)

My friends Alice & Serena had a joint “Jersey Shore” birthday party this weekend and it was a blast! I tried my best to look jersey-liscious but my cheesy glitter eye makeup didn’t show up on camera…just trust me on this..it would have put J-Wow to shame! BTW, I have a new found appreciation for Pauly-D. I tried my best to guido-ize Doug’s hair and this was the best I could do…those spikes take a lot of work!
