When Jolene inquired about doing a 5 Year Wedding Anniversary shoot with me, I thought to myself “good for you!”. I love it when couples who are married or have been together for a long time make a point to make their relationship special. So often I think we married folk can get lazy and take each other for granted..present company included :-) Doug and I will sometimes fall into this pattern unknowingly and when we do, we take steps to get out of the pattern immediately.

During the shoot, Jolene, Gerric and I bonded over reaching the 5 year mark and their anniversary trip to Paris & Italy that they will be going on in October! Which reminds me, I still need to blog pics from my trip…lol! Of course I told them I would send them an email on the most important things to do in Paris & Italy..such as where to get great ice cream, pizza, and gelato. Did I mention that I love food? Jolene & Gerric do too so we very important stuff in common!

I want to publicly thank Jolene & Gerric for being such troopers during their shoot..it was super HOT and they had to hike through weeds and dead grass but I promised them it would be worth it..hopefully they agree! Happy 5 Years to the both of you and wishing you 100 more!

It had occurred to me the other day that is has been FOREVER since I last posted an update on my beautiful baby girl Spunki Brewster. To put it mildly, she is the light of our lives and brings us so much joy! Don’t get me wrong, our little guy Mochi brings us lots of joy too..just a more subdued and understated joy (he sleeps about 22 hours a day..no joke). Spunki on the other hand is a bountiful ball of energy..constantly showering us with kisses upon kisses and always wanting us to play with her. When I need a break from work, I sweep her in my arms and just stare into her human-like eyes. She can do no wrong in my book..and trust me..she does plenty of wrong..but honestly, she could become an axe murderer tomorrow and I would still say “but look at those eyes!”. What can I say..she is my Kryptonite :-)

LOL..Spunki has “special” hair..either we can’t see her eyes or can’t see her nose. We rarely get to see both at the same time. We’ve thought about trimming her “mohawk” nose hair but we love it..because it’s just so her.

This past weekend our community had a “Mutt Mingle” and the coolest part was the caricature artist! I’m still amazed how she was able to capture the essence of our little ones in less than 2 minutes!

Every time I look at these it makes me laugh! You can see the distinct difference in personalities these two have just by looking at them!
