Normally I get to meet my couples before they book me but every once in awhile I don’t get to meet my couples until their engagement session.  This was the case with Russell & Rachel…they both have pretty hectic schedules right now…especially Rachel since she is in her first year of investment banking.  If you’re not familiar with their hours, let me just say…they’re brutal!  Doug use to tell me these stories of when he was an investment banker and he would work on average 80-100 hours a week…WHAT!!??  He said he would often times watch the sun rise at his desk…WOW is all I have to say!  So when I heard that Rachel was in investment banking, she needn’t say more :-)

As usual, Russell and Rachel were a little nervous at first, as most of my couples are, but within 5 minutes their nervousness had dissipated  and I almost mistook them for professional models!  They were relaxed, romantic, cute, fun…all the ingredients that make up a super fantastic engagement session!  I had SO much fun with these guys and cannot wait for their wedding in April!

Here are just a few of my favorites from their session…enjoy!

I loved the architecture at the Getty Villas!  It was my first time their and I absolutely adored it!

I adore this one!

Rachel is a natural :-)

The overcast light was soft & beautiful…I loved it!

Love this!

A touch of sizzle :-)

It’s pretty obvious here but I must say the light & clouds were gorgeous in Malibu that day!

p.s. special thank you goes out to the fabulous Candice Maloney of De-Lovely Events for referring Russell & Rachel to me…you rock Candice!

christina: beautiful photos, and even more beautiful couple! December 18, 2010 1:49 am

Candice: Awwww you are so welcome Trista! How SUPER adorable are they?!?! So excited to be working with you! :) December 8, 2010 9:28 am

This is now my 3rd session with little Christina & Allie…the first time was when they were still in their mommy’s belly and the 2nd time was when they were just a few weeks old!  They have grown so much and look as cute as ever!  I’ve always thought that having twins would be super difficult but their parents make it look like it’s a piece of cake!  Don’t get me wrong…it is definitely challenging but not as challenging as one might think (coming from someone who only hung out with the twins for a couple of hours..lol!).  I’m sure if I were to visit Mac & Kelly around 2am in the morning it might be a different story ;-)

Here are just a few of my favorites from Allie & Christina’s Holiday session!

How precious is Allie here…so cute!

Allie’s Dad doing the “football” hold that she clearly likes so much!

Christina really likes tummy time…Allie?  Not so much :-)

Allie prefers lying on her back :-)

Christina enjoying the scene as I try not to fall off the ladder…it was only on the 3rd step but it might as well have been the 10th…I’m scared of heights!

I remember Kelly telling me when she was pregnant that she hoped her babies had strawberry blonde hair…she got her wish!  How sweet are these two?

Christina rockin’ her tutu!

Unless they come out with a “boy equivalent” of a tutu, I have to say that having girls is just so much more fun in the “dress up” department :-)

Kelly’s parents came along to get a nice holiday portrait with them and their furbaby Lucy :-)

I love this sweet moment between Allie & her grandpa!

Check out those baby blues!

When you know the photo shoot is officially over ;-)
