I think I can safely say that Steve & Elvira’s wedding will be one of my favorites this year…why you ask?  Well, aside from the absolutely modern, sweet, and amazing details that Kelley, Elvira, and Steve planned for their “destination” wedding (they live in Florida), there was this overall sense of family through out the day.  You see, Steve’s parents aren’t able to travel very far so they both decided to have their wedding in Southern California where his parents live.  You could tell how important Steve’s parents are to him but also how important Steve & Elvira are to them.  The whole day I would look over and notice just how happy they were to be there seeing their son marry the love of his life.  On the other hand, you also had Elvira and her family who traveled from out of the country to be here.  Her brothers walked her down the aisle which I thought was very sweet.  There were about 40 guests in attendance and I must say that I do love a small intimate wedding.  Everyone is just more relaxed and involved and it feels just so special since Elvira & Steve were able to spend time with everyone.

Elvira and Steve, I just wanted to thank you AGAIN for having me share your big day with you!  I had such an amazing time and I look forward to seeing what the future holds for you!  xoxo, Trista

Now for some of my favorites…boy was it hard narrowing them down!

I love the beautiful silk robe Elvira was wearing before she got into her gown…I think every bride should wear one!

I loved the silver Jimmy Choo silver flats Elvira wore…I didn’t even know Jimmy Choo made flats?

I ADORE this image of Elvira and her flower girl Valeria…adorable!!

Elvira signing her marriage certificate…I love the dramatic lighting here

Fleuretica did an AMAZING job on all the florals!

LOVE this!!

Perfect day for a beach side wedding!

I loved the bright colorful dresses that Elvira’s bridesmaids wore!

Love the drama of this image!

How cute are Steve’s parents!?

There’s nothing like the way a bride looks at her groom…

The happy couple after their “I do’s”!

We snuck away for some portraits right before their cocktail hour…

Love how happy they look here!

The details were incredible!  Kelley & Elvira did an amazing job planning a special evening for all their guests…how adorable are the cherry blossom mini cupcakes from Vanilla Bake Shop??

A close up of the modern cherry blossom cake…I LOVE IT!!  I was obsessed with cherry blossoms when I was planning my wedding over 7 years ago…I even had them on our invitation!  This cake would have been perfect!

I absolutely LOVED all the florals that Fleuretica created for Elvira & Steve’s wedding…it was modern, fresh, romantic and just lovely in every way!

This picture makes me happy…everyone should have bubbles during their first dance :-)

Love the next two of the first dance…the beautiful glow the lighting added to the room was just perfect!

How cute is this??  I pray and hope that Doug and I are still cute and lovey dovey like this in the future :-)

Elvira’s parents weren’t able to attend so this moment was extra special when Steve’s dad danced with her :-)

Valeria the flower girls was absolutely precious!  I couldn’t get enough of her…

Angeline & Mike like to live life on the wild side…how you say?  Well, they didn’t actually decide on their engagement session locations until the morning of their session!  LOL…it made it quite fun though and spontaneous!  Mike, being the sweet fiance that he is, even drove by both locations to make sure they were up to par for Angeline…how many guys do you know that would do that for their future wife?  Not many that’s for sure…which is why he’s a keeper :-)  Of course I joked with them that if I was a guy and Angeline was my fiance, I’d do that for her too…look at her, she is gorgeous!  He would be a fool not to, right?

These two are getting married at the St. Regis this June and I cannot wait!!  From what I’ve heard from their plans, their day is going to be absolutely beautiful!  Stay tuned for images from their wedding!

Now for some favorites from their engagement session…enjoy and have a great week everyone!

We started their session at the San Juan Capistrano Mission…

I love Angeline’s nude Christian Louboutin’s…they’re right up my alley!  Every woman needs a pair of nude heels in her closet…even better if they’re Loubie’s :-)

Angeline & Mike were really comfortable in front of the camera…they made my job almost too easy! :-)

The grounds at the San Juan Capistrano Mission are gorgeous…

We strolled around Down Town San Juan Capistrano for a bit…

Love the sun flare!

We ended their session in Laguna Beach…it was the perfect day!
