It was an exchange between me and a groom that I won’t soon forget. I was outside taking some portraits of Gavin by himself and as we were chatting he said something like “I’m sure Diana told you about the whole sunburn situation”. I was like “No actually…it’s been a busy morning…what happened?!” So Gavin went on to explain how a few days before the wedding he decided to lay out just for a bit and came home with a sunburn on his face”! It was actually a running joke between the two of them that as long as he doesn’t show up with a sunburn on the wedding day everything would be fine (backstory : Gavin had shown up to his sisters wedding not only with a sunburn but with his face peeling!). So you can imagine how Diana felt when she saw Gavin’s face. Later on I asked Diana about it and she said that Gavin felt so bad he couldn’t sleep that whole night! Luckily for Gavin, by the morning of the wedding his face looked a lot better and all was good. Gavin even asked me if his face would look okay in the pictures and I told him not to worry. He said “good…I just want her day to be perfect”…OMG….is that not the sweetest thing ever?! That’s the perfect way to start any marriage…would you agree with me ladies?!

Diana & Gavin…I had an absolute blast at your wedding! I can tell that you two are going to have lots of fun in your marriage…which is one of the key things to making a marriage work! Keep on laughing guys and hope you have a fantastic time on your honeymoon!
