Welcome to my blog! My name is Trista Lerit and I am a wedding photographer based in Orange County, California. Beautiful, Modern, and Edgy Wedding Photography is what I specialize in but every now and then, I love capturing little rascals a.k.a. kids!

This blog is where I'll post pictures from weddings, engagements, and little rascal sessions that I've shot recently. However, I won't limit my posts to photography related things only! This blog also doubles as my online diary where I'll discuss my love of food, share my favorite YouTube videos, post adorable pictures of my dogs (yes, I'm one of THOSE people), and talk about anything else I feel like!

I'd love to hear from all my blog visitors so please don't be shy, my blog doesn't bite ;-)

Thanks for stopping by and come again soon!

Baby fuzzies :-) 03-11-2010

Okay..can I just hit the restart button on my blog?  I know it's been awhile..a long while!  I have a good excuse though..there are major changes happening at Trista Lerit Photography that I've been working very hard on.  In the next few months, I hope to debut the new look of Trista Lerit Photography.  That's right..I'm rebranding and it's going to be better than ever!  (at least that's what I'm hoping!)  So please forgive me for being a blog neglector? Pretty please?  I have a wonderful way to make it up to you..with pictures of fuzzy widdle puppies!

Suzy contacted me not too long ago wanting to do a very special shoot.  You see, Suzy rescued a her dog Blondie a few months ago after seeing her roaming around a parking lot.  It was love at first sight for Suzy and she knew that minute that Blondie was going to be a part of her life.  What suzy DIDN'T know was that Blondie was pregnant!  Suzy knew that there was no way she could keep all the puppies but she took great care of them until they were old enough to be adopted.  Well time flew by and before she knew it, the puppies were reaching their "adoption" date.  Before the puppies went to their new homes, she wanted to capture her little family all together one last time.  Of course I was SO excited and touched to be a part of something so beautiful!

The minute I arrived at Suzy's house, the little babies started running towards me and at that moment I thought "My job is super cool!"  I loved every single second of my time with the little ones that I've decided to become a full time puppy photographer!  Okay..maybe not full time but definitely part time :-)

Thank you SO much Suzy for letting me be a part of something so special for you & Blondie!

Here are some of my favorites from the shoot!

This is Chocolate Monkey..how dreamy are those eyes of his??

The white little fella is actually a "big" fella..he weighs a ton!  The biggest boy of the litter..that's why Suzy named him Moose.

Okay..I think Chocolate Monkey is my favorite..not only is he brown like Spunki..but "Monkey" just so happens to be Spunki's nick name!

Bear..he has curly soft black hair and so sweet!

Suzy with her baby Blondie..such a sweet doggie she is!

Those eyes..look at those eyes!

Suzy and the only girl in the litter..Miss Mikki!

Puppies like to sleep..a lot!

Squeeker..not only does he squeek when he sleeps, he poses too :-)

One big happy family :-)

Jennifer & Mike's Wedding at The Ritz Carlton, Laguna Niguel 02-19-2010

The first wedding of 2010!  I have been looking forward to blogging Jennifer & Mike's wedding for quite awhile now!  I finally got the go ahead after their wedding was featured this morning on Southern Weddings as the Southern Wedding of the Week!  Thank you so much to the girls over at SWS for featuring Jennifer and Mike's wedding!

I was so excited for Jen and Mike's wedding..not only because I adore them both but for a number of other reasons!  Firstly, it was going to be the first time that I got to work with my very good friends Angel from Events of Love & Splendor and Kristin from The Treasured Petal TOGETHER!  I've worked with Angel on several occasions as well as Kristin but never the three of us together.  We've all been buddies for so long were so giddy with excitement when we found out we'd all be working together.

Jennifer and Mike had their gorgeous "Southern Winter" inspired wedding at The Ritz Carlton in Laguna Niguel! We were blessed with such a beautiful day considering it had been raining for days and days and didn't stop raining until the MORNING of the wedding.  I'm sure you can imagine how I was feeling when I woke up that morning to still see water on the ground!  My fear was soon dissipated when I left home that morning to see the sun shining bright!

The entire day was pure perfection thanks to Angel, her lovely assistant/sister Anna and Kristin, and the lovely people at The Ritz Carlton..especially Eryin Choi who took time out of her busy schedule to show me all the great picture taking spots! Jen & Mike were not only thrilled with how beautiful their wedding day was but also to be married to each other and have the people they love close to them.  I couldn't help but notice how adoringly Jen looked at Mike..and the few times when Mike would speak and mention of how happy he was, he couldn't help but shed a tear..or two :-)

Jen & Mike..thanks for being so amazing!!  You are just perfect for each other and I'm truly blessed to have been a part of your wedding day!  Cheers to a lifetime of happiness, love, and tears (happy tears!)

Jennifer's Ulla Maija dress was to die for!

Jen's bridemaids looked amazing in their Vera Wang navy blue dresses!

Kristin did an amazing job on the florals..as always!!

Love this pic!  The light shining through the church was magnificent!

How adorable is Jen?

My idea of the perfect getaway car..a Mini Cooper!

The Ritz Carlton Laguna Niguel had such beautiful grounds!

Angel did such an amazing job on the placecard arrangement!

How adorable are these birdies from Ann Wood?

Check out the snow!  It's actually fake snow but look & feels real!

LOL..this picture cracks me up!  Jen's sister surprised her with this gem she found in Jen's closet..the night before the wedding!  The picture is of Scott Weinger (DJ's boyfriend on Full House)..Jen had a HUGE girlhood crush on him :-)

I adore this shot!  It gives me warm fuzzies :-)

My Favorite Things! 02-05-2010

I love the beginning of the year.  Wedding season won't start for another few months which gives me time to reboot, refresh, and rejuvenate myself..mentally, spiritually, and physically.  That's right..I've rededicated myself to taking better care of myself on the inside and the outside.  I started going to Bootcamp and I have to say I'm feeling better already!  2010 is my year to be the best that I can be and I'm going to stick to it!

I don't know about you..but when I'm not feeling 100% about my body, I tend to let everything else slide.  In my 20's when I was feeling my best, you can bet that I wore makeup, did my hair, and dressed fashionably.  Now that my body isn't like it used to be, my hair is looking blah, I only wear makeup once in a blue moon, and my clothes..don't even let me talk about that! It's a good day if I'm not wearing sweatpants and a mismatching top!

Well, that is going to change..NOW!  I've ALWAYS loved fashion..always always ALWAYS!  Even when I didn't feel like buying new clothes because I swore that I was going to lose 20 pounds and wouldn't be able to fit them.  Anytime I would feel that shopping itch,  I would always buy shoes because 1. they make me happy 2. they will fit no matter how much I weigh :-)  But not anymore..now that I'm dedicated to losing the weight that I've been wanting to lose for the past 5 years..that's right 5 YEARS, my wardrobe is in desperate need of an overhaul!

I've had a lot of fun cyber shopping and found quite a few things that I absolutely adore..mainly dresses!  I love dresses and If I could wear a dress every day, I would!  However, that would be super boring of me to do that so I won't :-)

Here are some of my favorites..let me know which one is yours!  Also, if you have favorites shopping sites that you think I would like, please leave a comment and let me know!  I'm always looking for places to get unique and cute clothes!

I forgot where I found this dress but I absolutely ADORE it!  So much so that I'm thinking of contacting one of the fab dress makers on Etsy to make one for me!

Since I didn't know the designer of the dress above, I tried to find something similar.  I found the lovely dress below at Bergdorf Goodman..now if I just had a couple of thousand dollars lying around, I might just buy it ;-)

I'm pretty sure I found this dress on This Is Glamorous..I love it!  Although I think this dress would only look good on someone who was 6ft tall :-)

I adore this outfit..cute, chic, and fun!

I found the next few dresses on EDressMe.  They are from Kirribilla and are adorable in every way...if I could get all of them I would!  I can't though so I just got the one below :-)  I love it SO MUCH!  Pencil skirts are my absolute favorite!

How precious is this??

The next few dresses are from a fab designer on Etsy..check out reddoll by tm!

Love this lilac dress..the black belt is the perfect touch!

this dress is to DIE for..I'm not quite sure I can pull it off now that I'm in my 30's but damn..it's cute!

Okay..so this dress is like 20 inches too short..lol!  But, if you pair it with some black tights, you're good to go!  Better yet, if it was knee length and had a pencil skirt instead of the ruffle bottom, it would be oh-so-chic!

I hope you liked the first installment of "My Favorite Things"..I'm not quite sure it will be a permanent fixture on my blog but I definitely will be posting more things that I love, things that inspire me, and things that make me happy!  Have a great weekend everybody!
