This blog is where I'll post pictures from weddings, engagements, and little rascal sessions that I've shot recently. However, I won't limit my posts to photography related things only! This blog also doubles as my online diary where I'll discuss my love of food, share my favorite YouTube videos, post adorable pictures of my dogs (yes, I'm one of THOSE people), and talk about anything else I feel like!

Beata & Allen are a fun loving couple who don't take life too seriously.  They took the same approach with their wedding as well..how you ask?  Well, when the officiant (Allen's good friend) asked Allen if he took Beata to be his wife, Allen said "Fo Shizzle!"  Then at their reception, Allen changed out of his pink bow tie to a really big pink bow tie to enjoy in the festivities.  I think it's great that Beata & Allen find ways to make life fun..this can only guarantee a marriage filled with lots of love, laughter, and a pink bow tie thrown in every now and again :-)

How YUMMY does this candy bar look???

This was a very special engagement session for a number of reasons..most importantly..it was my first time meeting Joe since he was in Afghanistan serving our country for 7 months.  He just got back a couple of months ago so you can imagine how happy April and Joe are to be reunited..and trust me..it was VERY obvious to me!  Literally, when they would look into each others eye's, it was as if I didn't even exist!  Like I literally had to be like "ok guys..I'm here..hello??".  I loved it though and it just made me feel all warm and fuzzy inside to see them so madly in love with each other :-)  April even said that when Joe is around it's as if she doesn't see anything else..total tunnel vision..all on Joe :-)  I love that!

I especially loved how Joe wore one of his uniforms and April dressed up to look like a young couple in and old romantic movie...the outfits & location tied in so well together!  I cannot wait for their wedding this October!

So, I don't do "dipping" shots very often because to be quite honest, most people look awkward doing this :-)  Not April & Joe though..when I asked them if they could do this they said "oh yeah, we do it all the time at home"..what?? How cute is that?!!

Karland proposed to Mariam on a gondola ride along Balboa Island in Newport Beach so it was only appropriate for them to do their engagement session on Balboa Island as well!  They brought along their sweet little girl for some family shots and all in all, it proved to be a wonderful day for a photo shoot.  These two are incredibly comfortable in front of the camera so needless to say my job was super easy!  I had a lot of favorites from the day but here are just a few..enjoy!
